For \(A \in \mathrm{Alg}_{\mathbb E_1}(\mathrm{Cat}_1)\) an ordinary monoidal \(1\)-category, the center is given by the Drinfeld center \(Z_1(A)\in \mathrm{Alg}_{\mathbb E_2}(\mathrm{Cat}_1)\), see [Lur17, Exm. 5.3.1.18].
